Jack Bruce says Cream may rise again

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

Jack Bruce, bassist for the 60’s power rock trio Cream, along with guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker, says a reunion may be in the works.

Bruce and Baker have been feuding for years and apparently are ready to put their differences aside in order to regroup later this year.

This won’t be the first reunion for the trio. In 2005, Clapton persuaded Bruce and Baker to reunite after a 37-year hiatus. The tour quickly turned for the worse during a Madison Square Garden show, where Bruce and Baker were at it once again. Bruce says he was still recovering from a liver transplant.

“I hadn’t recovered properly yet, so I found it quite difficult,” Bruce said. “Now I’m completely recovered so I would enjoy it more.”
