Beyond Bass Camp with Steve Lawson

Solo bassist and bass instructor Steve Lawson has announced Beyond Bass Camp, a one-day workshop for bass players he’ll be leading each month, starting on June 20th in London.

The events will be held on the third Saturday of each month, and the cost is £70 per person and includes lunch and coffee/tea. If you sign up for all 5, the rate is £60 per session.

Steve shares “the day will be about looking at the instrument as a vehicle for music, both within the tradition of the bass guitar, and beyond it as a tool for self-expression. We’ll be exploring the technical, theoretical and mechanical aspects of making music with a bass that will allow us to get deeper inside saying what we want to say on our instrument.”
