Gear Watch: New basses from Gadow Guitars
After stopping production in 2006, Gadow Guitars has announced they are re-introducing their line of bass guitars. The basses are being built in their workshop in Durham, NC and are offered in two configurations: the Custom and Classic.
Each model has a great set of features: The Custom comes standard with swamp ash body, figured maple top, and active Bartolini pickups and pre-amps. The Classic is still the same quality craftsmanship but with less features, it comes standard with a swamp ash body and passive Bartolini pickups.
According to luthier Ryan Gadow, “We have been wanting to come out with a new bass for a while, but had taken our time on the R&D aspect to make sure that we got it right.” Each Gadow instrument is set up, tested and signed personally by Ryan.
The instruments start at $1,599 (USD) retail and are only going to be available from six authorized Gadow dealers.
You can get more information about these basses on Gadow Guitars’ web site.
