Gear Watch: Profile PT-2800

Profile PT-2800Profile has expanded their tuner/metronome line to include the new PT-2800, a mini clip-on tuner. The PT-2800 features a gigantic bright multi-colored LCD that should be visible from the headstock in any lighting condition. The best part is that it changes from red to green once you’re in tune. You can get your strings in shape at a glance!

The PT-2800 also has separate settings for different instruments. You can specify if you’re tuning a bass, guitar, violin, ukulele or tuning chromatically. You can choose in the 430-450 Hz range for operation. The PT-2800 is attachable to any string instrument and the flexible head can tilt and swivel for easy viewing. This device is great for loud rehearsal environments or on dimly light stages.

American Music & Sound (AM&S) are the sole distributors of Profile products. You can check out this cool tuner on their web site.
