Spector has announced the release of their latest line of USA basses: the Forte4 and Forte5. These are the same handcrafted basses we expect from Spector and are new for 2010. The slogan for the new line is “No Options, No Frills, ALL TONE.”
The Forte’s have a lot of great features including the original Spector NS curved body scale, black hardware – including a locking bridge and Dunlop Dual Design strap buttons, active pickups (P/J on the Forte4 model, with 40DC on the Forte5), 3 piece neck-through rock maple neck with a 24 fret Pau Ferro Fingerboard (without inlays), and a matte black satin finish with an included Spector gig-bag.
The current list price for the Forte4 is US$3,499.00 with the Forte5 at US$3,599.00, and orders are currently being accepted for early 2010 delivery. More can be found at Spector’s web site.
