Gear Watch: Soundblox Pro Multiwave Bass Distortion Pedal

Soundblox Pro Multiwave Bass Distortion PedalSource Audio will be introducing the Soundblox Pro Multiwave Bass distortion pedals at the upcoming NAMM show. The pedals feature multiband processing which is a technique that breaks a signal into multiple band and distorts them individually, allowing for more clarity and articulation.

The pedal also features 23 presets and an additional clean boost/EQ mode. Each of the presets is then customizable using the 7-band EQ, drive control, and separate mix knobs for clean and dirty signals, which will allow you to keep your low end, unlike with many distortion boxes. You also get 6 user presets that can be saved and accessed quickly via three footswitches, and an expression pedal, which can morph between your presets. The pedals have MIDI capabilities, and feature state of the art 56-bit digital signal processing with 24-bit converters for crystal-clear output.

The pedal is also available without programming abilities, called the Soundblox Multiwave bass distortion. The Pro version is available for $219 street value, and the Standard is available for $119.
