Charles Mingus Festival to take place in NYC

The Manhattan School of Music and Let My Children Hear Music: The Charles Mingus Institute have come together again to announce the 2nd annual Charles Mingus Festival, to be held February 13 and 14 in NYC.

Produced by Sue Mingus and Justin Dicioccio, the festival will include films, clinics, the hugely successful Charles Mingus High School Competition, and performances by the Mingus Dynasty. Clinics include a showing of Mingus films, a rhythm clinic featuring bassist Boris Kozlov, a saxophone clinic, a brass clinic, and a band directors clinic.

Clinics will take place on Saturday starting at 12:30PM and are free and open to the public. Sunday is focused on the High School Competition. For more info, visit The Manhattan School of Music’s News page.
