Alexander T Kent Leaves Say Anything

Say AnythingAfter six years with the band, bassist Alexander T Kent announced he is leaving the ranks of Say Anything. The departure was “as amicable as a split could possibly be,” says the band, as Kent has chosen to move on.

“There are no hard feelings and there was no altercation,” Kent explains. “I have just decided to start the next chapter of my life… I’m not sure what I’m going to do besides start brewing beer and going to school. I’ll still play music too – maybe with Brian from Weatherbox.”

In his letter to the fans, Kent also expressed his gratefulness for his time in the group.

“I’ve learned and grown so much while being in this band and these words will not come close enough to expressing the gratitude to everyone in the band, everyone who worked for and helped the band, and all of the amazing fans who took time to come see and talk to us. Thank you.”

The split comes just before a two-month nationwide tour, but Say Anything has already gotten a sub. Their friend Kenny Vasoli of Person L and the Starting Line will cover the low-end position on the outing.
