Bullet For My Valentine Bassist to Miss Tour Dates

Bullet For My ValentineBullet For My Valentine bassist Jason James will be sitting out for a portion of the band’s current tour. The band issued a statement this week:

“The band regrets to inform you that Jason James [bass] will be taking time off from the current North American tour. He has to take some time to attend to a family matter starting October 8th, and he will be re joining the band on October 18th in Calgary, [Alberta, Canada]. No tour dates have been cancelled and the tour will continue as planned. Calvin Roffey, the Bullet guitar tech (and amazing bassist) will take over bass duties until Jason returns.”

James joined the metal outfit in 2003, after founding bassist Nick Crandle stepped down just before the band signed to Roadrunner Records.

The group released their third album, Fever, in April and have been trotting the globe in support of it. The band will be wrapping up the North American leg of their tour later this month before heading to Europe.
