Faith No More Releases “No PR” Interview with Billy Gould and Roddy Bottum

Billy GouldFaith No More, who took a “no PR” stance during their recent reunion, have released their only formal interview consisting of questions directly from fans, answered mainly by bassist Bill Gould and keyboardist Roddy Bottum. The two bandmates go over a plethora of questions, including the group’s plans for the future, why they didn’t tour more, and why they opted to skip traditional PR. In addition to the Q&A, a clip from an unreleased song from their Angel Dust sessions, called “Shuffle Song,” is played towards the end of the first video.

Faith No More reformed after an 11-year split to play a string of shows through 2010, starting in June at the Brixton Academy in London, England. They will wrap up their reunion with a few dates at the Hollywood Palladium and a show in Chile in early December, with no present plans to continue touring or recording, though bassist Gould said the reunion was better than he expected.

“I was probably the guy who dragged his feet the most in doing this, and I’ve got to say it exceeded my expectations 100 percent,” he said. “It was much better than my best-case scenario, and my worst case didn’t even come into play.”
