If you like Rush, and you like video games, then hold on to your seat. The latest release from the incredibly popular series of Guitar Hero video games revolves around the Canadian prog-rockers’ classic album, 2112.
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock takes players on a new quest to help the Demi-God of Rock save rock n’ roll, with the Quest mode revolving around Rush’s seven-part suite.
Bassist Geddy Lee enjoys the links between his music and the games plot.
“The music, the story and the journey of 2112 lends itself perfectly to the quest in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock,” he said. “In our story, the caves of 2112 are where our hero finds the lost guitar and this rediscovery of music is much like the Guitar Hero warriors’ journey to find the Demi-God of Rock’s Legendary guitar, which has been trapped in a cavern.”
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will also feature over 90 other tracks in a rock inspired set list featuring KISS, Black Sabbath, Queen, and more. The game is available for Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360.
