Vail Johnson Celebrates New Website with Free Music Download

Vail Johnson has just launched a new website, and to celebrate he is giving away a free song download from his latest CD, Come Together. The album consists of Johnson’s versions of classic Beatles songs, including Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby, and of course, Come Together.

Johnson is best known for his extensive work with Kenny G, whom he met in 1986, but he has also laid down the low end with Herbie Hancock, Stevie Nicks, and George Benson. Come Together, which was released earlier this year, is his fourth solo album. According to his new site, he is planning a fifth for next year, which will be a “hybrid of traditional country and funk/ R&B,” most likely inspired by his recent move to Nashville, Tennessee.
