MTD Andrew Gouche Signature 635Gospel legend Andrew Gouche has shared details of his new Signature MTD bass on his Facebook Page.

The Andrew Gouche Signature MTD 635-24 is a 6-string, 35″ scale bass that features an alder body with a maple burl top and a maple neck with a purple heart fingerboard. The neck’s side dots are made from Luminlay, which allows them to glow in the dark with the aid of a special LED. It is also delivered with the Buzz Feiten Tuning system, which luthier Michael Tobias explains will help with chord intonation and while working with keyboards and horns.

The bass’s pickups and active electronics are custom Bartolinis, with the controls including master volume, and a pan pot treble, mid, bass cut and boost. A three position switch selects the mid range cut and boost point, so you can select between 250, 500, and 1000 Hz.

According to Andrew, the bass will be available next year. Here is a video Andrew posted to let fans hear the tone of the bass:
