Gear Watch: Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B3K Overdrive Pedal

Darkglass Electronics is now shipping their Microtubes B3K bass distortion pedal. The pedal features hybrid JFET and CMOS gain stages for a natural dynamic response, with Level, Drive, and Blend knobs as well as Attack and Grunt switches to dial up your sound.

The Attack switch replicates the “Ultra Hi” option from many tube amps, and gives a treble boost for more clarity, presence and definition. The Grunt switch allows you to choose between 3 Bass boost levels. It works in tandem with the Drive knob, essentially letting you determine the level of low-end saturation for your tone. The Darkglass B3K features a true bypass and is powered by either a 9V battery or power supply.

The Microtubes B3K is available now by order at the Darkglass Electronics website for 220€, which at press time was about $308 USD.
