Bill Wyman Launches Online Q&A Column and Contest

Bill WymanFormer Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has announced that he will be answering fan questions online as part of a new column on his official website.

Wyman, who laid down the low end for the Stones from 1962 to 1992, will post responses to fan queries as well as reply directly. To kick off the column, Wyman is having a contest for the most original question through the end of November. The winner will receive a Rhythm Kings T-shirt, Best of the Rhythm Kings CD, and a copy of the book The Stones: A History in Cartoons, all signed by Wyman himself.

”Feel free to ask Bill any questions,” his website states, “From his music and influences, to his history as a musician, to his interests on metal detecting to photography. All questions will be sent through to Bill to answer, and Bill is looking forward to hearing from you!”

Since leaving the Rolling Stones, Wyman has been recording and touring with his band, the Rhythm Devils, as well as writing. The Stones subsequently hired Darryl Jones to fill in on bass.
