Overton Amps will be making their debut at the 2011 NAMM Show, with the introduction of their new product line of bass amplifiers. Included in the line is company’s new Featherweight bass amp series, OB series bass cabinets and Tremor compact bass combos.
Housed in red anodized, single rackspace head units, the Featherweight series features a studio quality compressor, semi-parametric EQ and a Class D power amp. A stronger 1500-watt Featherweight is available in a 2U rackspace. The series is also available in a combo package with either a 2×10 or 4×8 configuration.
There are three cabinets in the OB series, all of which come in 4 or 8-ohm versions: a 1200-watt 4×10″, a 600-watt 2×10″, and an 800-watt 4×8″. The 4×10″ and 2×10″ come equipped with a proprietary crossover and compression tweeter with a variable level. All of the cabs feature Overton’s Underton drivers.
The Tremor series includes 8, 10, and 15-inch combos. The 10 and 15 models are rated at 100 and 300-watts respectively, with no word on the 8. The whole line comes with auto-compression, headphone outputs and aux inputs, where the 10 and 15 include a 2-button footswitch. The 15 also includes a balanced output for recording.
