Bassist Bernhard Lackner has released a new instructional book, Plucking Hand Workout For Electric Bass, featuring 200 exercises on 2-finger right hand technique. Written in both standard notation and tablature, the book focuses on developing your plucking hand in order to improve your overall technique, tone and musicianship.
The exercises start at the beginning with quarter notes and work up to sextuplets while guiding you through rhythmic subdivisions and groupings in order to increase your technique and rhythmic understanding at equal rates.
Born in Austria and now based in Nashville, Lackner’s resume includes work with Jeff Coffin, Marco Minneman, Adam Holzman, and Derico Watson. The new book is available from his website for $19.99.
