Andrew Seward and Against Me! Auction Bass for Alabama Red Cross
In light of the devastating storms that have ravaged the South, the punk rockers of Against Me! are auctioning a brand new Fender Roger Waters Signature Precision bass with all proceeds being donated to the Alabama Red Cross. The bass is signed by all the members including Andrew Seward, who has close ties to Alabama.
“I grew up in Huntsville, Alabama; my parents still live there and my brother and sister-in-law live in Birmingham,” he explained. “I vividly remember when I was in 5th grade and a tornado came ripping through Huntsville during rush hour… I remember Huntsville being on the national news and how huge the tornado seemed. Now the tornado from my youth seems so small compared to the twisters I have seen on television in the past weeks. The images are horrifying. Our hearts go out to all those who have lost so much.”
The bass on auction is brand new and features a maple neck, maple fingerboard, alder body, and a Seymour Duncan Bass Basslines quarter pound split-coil P-bass pickup. The auction will close May 30th at 12:30 PDT. Check the eBay page for more.
