Jennifer Leitham: The Real Me LiveLefty jazz bassist Jennifer Leitham has released The Real Me Live on DVD. Directed by Mark Lewis, the performance was taken from the bassist’s performance at Franklin Park in Riverside, California in July 2010. The DVD is a compliment to her 2006 CD of the same name and features the same music.

Leitham started her career as John Leitham, with a 35-year career performing with everyone from Gerry Mulligan to Joe Pass.

In 2001, while in the Doc Severinson Orchestra, she transitioned to becoming Jennifer. TLC featured her story in the 2003 documentary, “Sex Change”.

Leitham now performs extensively with her own trio.
