The Wood Brothers Announce Tour Dates

The Wood BrothersShortly after releasing a music video for their new single, The Wood Brothers have announced a string of tour dates in support of the new album Smoke Ring Halo, due to release on August 2nd.

The group will be bringing their roots-American style through the US, starting in Hudson, New York and focusing on the East Coast with a smattering of mid-west dates mixed in.

Bassist Chris Wood explains that he and Oliver first really decided to put a band together after a gig they both played on.

“The first thing that really happened was a gig where his band, King Johnson, and my band, Medeski, Martin & Wood, ended up on the same bill and Oliver sat in with us,” he said. “There was this moment of realization that we should be playing music together… It’s brothers coming together to make some music.”
