Jeff Berlin to Tour in New All-Star Fusion Trio

Jeff Berlin / Scott Henderson / Mike ClarkJeff Berlin will part of an all-star jazz fusion trio set to tour the East Coast in September. Filled out by guitarist Scott Henderson and drummer Mike Clark, the group starts in Sellersville, Pennsylvania before snaking up the coast then west to Ohio and ending in Chicago, Illinois on October 2nd.

Berlin, who describes the group as the “Clapton-Bruce-Baker of fusion music,” says the playing will be at their best because they do it for themselves.

“This is a burning band,” he said. “What we do is for players and people interested in playing. We love to play together because we have no interest in playing music that pleases people. We play music that pleases US but we want people to come and share the experience with us! Certainly we are aware that an audience is in front of us and we want to please people with our playing. But, my idea is that, in music, I come first! This way I can give you my absolute best as a bass player because I am trying to sound good for myself.”
