Top 10: Bass of the Week, Edmond Gilmore’s Take on Jaco, Isolated John Entwistle, Intentional Practice and New Gear

No Treble readers couldn’t get enough of the top bass videos of the week, from an isolated bass video of John Entwistle, a solo bass piece by Matt Kniffen, Edmond Gilmore‘s take on Jaco Pastorius’ arrangement of “Donna Lee” and Nathan Watts laying it down with Stevie Wonder.

Dr. D made his return with a new column, Intentional Practice, and Damian Erskine got bassists thinking with his thought exercise for bassists.

On the gear front, our bass of the week is the Waja-Bass Design Telio G.V. 5-String Fretless, and there’s new gear from Bergantino Audio Systems.

In some positive news, Tal Wilkenfeld is working on a new album. Sadly, the bass world lost another member, with the passing of former Weezer bassist Mikey Welsh.

Check out these and the rest of the top 10 for October 9-15, 2011.
