Top 10: The Most Popular NAMM Gear Announcements, Videos, Lessons and Features of the Week

Last week proved two things: the No Treble readers are as diverse as they come, and the No Treble crew is having a harder and harder time recovering from NAMM as the years roll on (not that we’re complaining. At all.)

Our NAMM coverage continued to generate lots of readership and comments last week, with new gear announcements making up 50% of the top 10 most read stories and features last week. The new Dingwall Super P Bass took the #1 slot. The great news is that we still have piles of notes and photos to sort through for even more coverage in the coming weeks. Bass gear FTW!

In videos, we featured a couple of terrific bassists we ran into at NAMM: Alex Bershadsky, who had the most watched video last week with “Groove Move”, and Evan Brewer’s live NAMM performance of “A Climate For Change.” Plus, Bubby Lewis laying it down for Snoop Dog in a live remake performance of “Get The Funk Out Of My Face.”

Grant Stinnett’s finger-style funk bass lesson generated a lot of interest (we can hear the 16th notes from here), and our “New School” focus on bassist Nathan Navarro stirred some interesting conversation. (Be sure to check out Nathan’s videos in that feature – this is a bassist with incredible skills and diversity.)

Here is your top 10 for the week of January 22 – 28, 2012. Thanks, as always, for reading and commenting.
