David Ellefson to Publish “Unsung”, A Book of Unreleased Lyrics and Images

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has announced his first self-published book is coming. Unsung will feature previously unpublished and unreleased lyrics written by the bassist, as well as never before published images.

“As a musician, my past lyrical work has always been set to music. But, with this new book I set out to explore a new medium using both words and images as the canvas for an exciting new mosaic of storytelling,” Ellefson said.

The bassist added that he encourages readers to consider the lyrics contained in Unsung to be under license from him and available for their own songs, essentially providing an opportunity to become a co-writer with him.

Unsung will be available first through Lulu.com, followed by a release to major online retailers and book stores. Ellefson has set up an Unsung Facebook page in the meantime to provide updates on the book.
