Ashdown Unveils ABM-1000 and ABM-2000 Amps at NAMM
Ashdown has expanded their ABM line of amps with introduction of the ABM-1000 and ABM-2000. The pair couples the company’s ABM Evo III preamp with Class D amplifiers to pump out 1000 and 2000 watts, respectively.
Both amps carry a unique EQ that combines rotary knobs with a pair of dual sliders. The knobs cut and boost at 60Hz, 660Hz, and 5kHz, while the sliders give 15dB of boost at 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3kHz and 2.6kHz. It can be controlled by footswitch for easily switching up your tone during a performance.
Other features for the amps include an on-board compressor, a sub-harmonic generator, a front-mounted DI, a tuner output, an FX loop, and a line input for playing external sources.
The Ashdown ABM-1000 and ABM-2000 are due out soon with street prices around $1,499 and $2,299. For more info, check out the Ashdown website.
