  1. Grandios !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Love it, very cool. And he’s even got a “Stanley Clark” kind of sound.
    Awesome bass as well.

  3. Funky! Nice Tone!

  4. What a great player! Class!

  5. I love it. Tight and solid. Alembic sounds outstanding and his technique is right there. Nice and clean. John and Paul would be proud.

  6. I really liked this jam. Bass and drums that’s all you really need. Is it just me or was anyone else eyeing that big belt buckle inches away from that beautiful bass? ha ha

  7. Most of the videos you see have an abrupt and sorta shaky ending. This? Nice gradual fade out. Was wondering how a phase 90 might’ve sounded on those last few bars.

    • Heh, thanks, James, but the fade is there because there WAS an abrupt and sorta shaky ending! :-) I’m just making it up as I’m going along in the outro section, and on my original recording I just played on, getting more and more elaborate and further and further away from the song. So when I went to listen back to it, I just realized it was a bit too much, really, and that this should be about showing off the song arrangement, not my ‘chops’. So I faded it out before it moved too far away from the basic groove. There’s about another two minutes of it which you’ll never get to hear and which has very little to do with the rest of the song!

    • Karl Clews Karl, if that was the case then where you chose to wrap it up. in my opinion, was a good place because it retained the groove and added a nice twist on the way out. A groove like Come Together does allow us to have some fun with it even if for our own enjoyment. Actually, why not? Even if you did chose not to record it or present it, it would be an interesting experiment just to try some different effects like maybe a Phase 90 on the way out or maybe an envelope filter. Karl, I really like what you did with it. Do you have any tabs on the phrasing and chords you used?

  8. Love the strap too! :D

  9. Real precise playing with a great fade-out! Nice production! Paul has that important slide, from D [ 12th fret ] down, keeping the volume loud going down. You could do that on 2 or 3 strings even.
