Joseph Cote: “The Real Me” Bass Playalong
Bassist Joseph Cote sent us this video of him playing along to The Who’s “The Real Me”, taking on one of John Entwistle‘s signature bass lines.
Joseph not only has the line down, but he’s got the tone. His gear used in the video includes a custom Warmoth Jaguar Bass with all Dimarzio pickups, recorded with a Presonus Studio One, Amplitube 3 for amp modeling with a Roland JC120 amp model.
Joseph said “The only ‘overdubs’ I did was at the very end when I held the high C after the song ends because what I did in real life sounded like doo doo. Other than that, it was all recorded in one take with the video, and there were no changes.”
Well done.
