MarloweDK Releases “Beginning Slap Bass” DVD

Beginning Slap Bass DVD with MarloweDKBassist/educator and Youtube bass phenom Thomas “MarloweDK” Risell has taken his excellent how-to approach to DVD with the release of Beginning Slap Bass DVD with MarloweDK. (MarloweDK is also a No Treble contributor).

The DVD includes 25 slap bass licks and exercises, complete with onscreen notation and tab, close ups and slow motion video. Each lesson starts at full tempo, followed by a demonstration at half-tempo, and then in split screen mode with closeup and the lick in an “ultraslow” tempo.

MarloweDK says the format for the DVD was designed to “get every detail in the execution of the slap bass technique.”

The DVD also comes drum tracks at tempos ranging from 80 beats per minute (bpm) to 130 bmp. In addition to the video content, the DVD includes PDF files for all exercises, and MP3 files for the drum tracks, so you can pull them and develop your own practice routines from there.
