Between The Buried and Me Releases “The Parallax II: Future Sequence”

Between The Buried and Me: The Parallax II: Future SequenceProg-metal outfit Between the Buried and Me has followed up last year’s Parallax EP with the release of Parallax II: Future Sequence. The full-length album continues the concept of its predecessor with two main characters how take a journey through space and time to cure the flaws of humanity.

“While the EP served mostly as an introduction to the characters, Future Sequence contains the action of the story,” guitarist Paul Waggoner told Guitar World. “The lyrics are written in the stream of consciousness style, which really helps to capture the perspective and emotion of the characters. We really enjoyed the challenge of writing this record, and I think we were all pleasantly surprised with how well the music and lyrics jived with one another. I couldn’t be happier with how Future Sequence turned out.”

Of course, the new effort showcases the incredible bass work of Dan Briggs. Check out this video of him playing along with the first single from the album, “Telos”:

The Parallax II: Future Sequence is available on CD, vinyl and digital formats (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
