Willy González Nuevo Trío: Zamba del pañuelo
I’ve been on a traditional folk music kick, so this video of 6-string bassist Willy González and his Nuevo Trio struck a chord with me. Here the group plays their version of Argentinian folk composer Gustavo “Cuchi” Leguizamón’s “Zamba del pañuelo”.
The interplay between the musicians is superb and is matched in elegance by a pair of dancers for a complete performance.
Love it!!
Capooo!
Also featuring Willy González, don’t miss out Raul Carnota’s “Reciclón”. Wenever I play it, it goes around 2 or 3 times in a row.

Greetings from Argentina!
That was really really good. Wow.
What a sound! Does anyone know what kind of bass this is?
Hey Lars, it’s a custom 6-string acoustic bass guitar made by Argentinian luthier Pablo Batan.
Wonderful!
Wow! Underbart. Vilken fantastisk bas o basist – 6 strängar… Huvva!
