Steve Harris: Us Against the World

In late September, Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris released his first solo album entitled British Lion. Now he’s put out a music video for the first single, “Us Against the World”.

The project is a bit of a step away from Iron Maiden, but Harris’ ballsy bass tone is still the center of the music.

The singer is weak, Paul dianno would have been amazing, but the rest is decent, but still not maiden

Wow, that was really weak… even comical at some points of the video. Feels like Iron Maiden meets Nelson. Yeah, I went there. :)

Could the guitarists look any more ridiculous? The video looks seriously unprofessional with some fairly sloppy editing, and I don’t like to attack a legendary bass player but there were a couple of sloppy moments on the track. shame :(

I got the Album last weekend and while I do like it for the most part it strikes me as “What would I do if Maiden quit tomorrow”.

Weak. Not worthy of his catalog. it’s right in there with wannabe metalstars that get taken up by a slightly broader audience but as a small bonus are forgotten after 3 years because of the totalt forgetability of their tracks.

Decent, but as good as he is with metal/rock bass, he could use some diversity, In my opinion.
