Schecter Introduces Nikki Sixx Signature Bass

Schecter Nikki Sixx Signature Bass

Schecter and Nikki Sixx have teamed up to release the “Schecter Sixx” Bass, a 4-string signature model for the Motley Crue bassist. Sixx, who also is an accomplished author and radio show host, collaborated with the company to create the instrument.

“It was an exciting and creative process to work with Schecter on the new Schecter Sixx Signature Series Bass,” he said. “It was important to all of us to design a bass that would feel right as well as sound amazing in the hands of all players, not just me.”

Built with a mahogany body, multi-laminate maple and walnut neck, and rosewood fingerboard, the Schecter Sixx bass is loaded with EMG’s active P/J pickup set. Controls include a Volume knob for each pickup, a master tone, and a Kill switch.

The Nikki Sixx “Schecter Sixx” Bass will be available with an MSRP of $1,399. A left-handed version will be available for $1,449. For more info, check out the Schecter website.

  1. I like the Gothic Thunderbird better :)

  2. I actually like this one more than the Epiphone version.

  3. what a piece of shit!

  4. I’m stoked on the re-designed headstock cause I have the epi thunderbird and the neck drop is brutal, it pulls on your shoulder and back hard and it becomes a pain in the ass to stand playing for a while. It has a nicer look to it as well and sick pickups in it!

  5. I’ve been a Thunderbird Bass user for years, and if Schecter solved the neck drop issue, that would be a huge improvement. I mean, one can get used to it, But it would help a lot if it just wasn’t there. It looks like they did because of the strap button placement.

  6. Does it only play in drop down tuning?

  7. about 20 years to late for this bass.
