Paul McCartney and Wings’ Remastered Rockshow Concert Film Released
In 1975 and 1976, former Fab Four bassist Paul McCartney and his band Wings took the world by storm with the “Wings over the World” tour, a 66-date trek across Australia, Europe and North America. It was the largest tour the band would ever undertake, and it resulted in the triple live album Wings Over America. A concert film entitled Rockshow also came out of that tour, but didn’t premiere until 1980.
Fans can finally relive the experience as Rockshow is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray formats.
The show contains 30 songs taken from the Wings Over America tour date at the King Dome in Seattle, Washington. The set includes five Beatles songs and marking the first time McCartney performed a sampling from his old band in public. The new release includes restored audio, which has been remixed and remastered, including 5.1 surround sound. It’s been visually upgraded as well, restored from the original 35mm film.
