Overwater Introduces Scott Devine Signature SDS Lite Bass

Overwater’s Scott Devine Signature series has a new model with the announcement of the SDS Lite. Modeled after Devine’s fretless bass, the Lite version is a slightly lighter weight instrument that the company says has a “smoother, more neutral voicing.”

The SDS Lite keeps with Devine’s shorter 33″ scale preference and is available in 4 or 5-string versions. Its 3-piece maple neck is bolted on to the body, which is a choice of white ash or black walnut topped with European walnut, figured maple, or your choice of options. The bass can be ordered as fretted or fretless with options for an Indian Rosewood, hard maple, or ebony fingerboard.

Hardware on the SDS Lite includes black mini bass tuners and individual bridge pieces with adjustable saddles. The pickups are a pair of Custom Overwater OW5’s that are matched with 3-band EQ with bright boost.

The Overwater SDS Lite is available now with a regular retail price of $3,742 and an introductory price of $2,795 if ordered before July 8th. For more info, visit the Overwater website.
