Slayer Announce First Headlining North American Tour in Two Years

Slayer 2013 North American TourSlayer will be hitting the road in October to headline their first North American Tour in two years with support from Gojira and 4ARM. The tour kicks off October 22nd at the Sullivan Sports Arena in Anchorage, Alaska before heading down the West Coast and across the U.S. to end at the Tsongas Arena in Boston.

It’s been a tumultuous time for the members of Slayer since the passing of founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman earlier this year. Though his death led bassist Tom Araya to question the future of the iconic thrash metal outfit, they’re currently writing new material and released a statement saying they “hope to spend some time in the studio prior to this tour.”
