Dream Theater Announces 2014 North American Tour Dates
After announcing European tour dates, Dream Theater has revealed their North American tour plans for 2014. The prog metal outfit will be kicking things off at Toronto’s Massey Hall before covering the States in the Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast. Their trek is capped with three dates in Mexico.
“We are all really pumped and excited to bring our new live show to North America and to take all of our amazing fans ‘Along For The Ride’!” guitarist John Petrucci stated. “Returning to the ‘An Evening With’ format will enable us to deliver the best DT live experience yet with time for lots of music, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you. With this tour, our goal is for you to be able to step into the world of Dream Theater from the moment you enter the venue.”
The band, anchored by 6-string bassist John Myung, will be touring in support of their self-titled album released earlier this year as well as their Live at Luna Park concert DVD.
To top it off, Dream Theater scored a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance for their song “The Enemy Inside.”
