The Who’s “Quadrophenia: Live in London” Show Released
Did you miss The Who’s 2013 tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of mod rock opera Quadrophenia? No worries — you can catch it now in this great tour-ending performance captured on July 8, 2013 at London’s Wembley Arena.
Pino Palladino played in the place of the late John Entwistle — for most of the show. However, through the use of technology, including HD screen backdrops and archival footage, the band is reunited with Entwistle on “5:15” and late drummer Keith Moon for “Bell Boy.”
While the show features Quadrophenia in its entirety, it also includes performances of “Pinball Wizard,” “Who Are You,” “You Better You Bet,” “Baba O’Riley,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again” and “Tea & Theatre.”
The DVD is available in a metal boxed deluxe package that includes not only memorabilia, but also a 5.1 surround sound version of the original 1973 album on Blu-Ray Audio Disc.
The concert is available in both standard DVD and Blu-Ray versions.
