After introducing the Adam “Nolly” Getgood signature bass at NAMM this year, Dingwall Guitars has announced the NG-2 has been refined and is now shipping in Laguna Seca Blue and Ferrari Yellow colors. Black, red, and green models will follow in about four weeks.
Created with the Periphery bassist, the NG-2 is built around a five-piece maple neck and a two to three piece alder body. Its maple fretboard holds 24 fanned frets to account for its multi-scale string lengths. The eye-catching body colors are accented with a carbon fiber print pickguard and smoke chrome hardware.
An interesting aspect to the instrument is its custom active/passive Darkglass 3-band preamp with Bass, Low-Mid, and High-Mid controls. Getgood uses Darkglass pedals and had the company’s first onboard preamp made for his bass. Pickups include a pair of FD-3n’s that are controlled with a master volume and 4-position rotary pickup selector.
The Laguna Seca Blue and Ferrari Yellow NG-2 basses will be available soon. Dingwall says that prices vary by country due to taxes and import fees.
