The Aristocrats Release Live CD/DVD Set from Culture Clash Tour
The Aristocrats one-upped itself with the release of its latest album package, Culture Clash Live!
The album, which documents world tour performances supporting the progressive rock band’s 2013 album Culture Clash, showcases not just one date, but performances from six different stops in five countries on three continents.
The trio includes bassist Bryan Beller, guitarist Guthrie Govan on guitar and Marco Minnemann on drums.
However, the process of putting together the set wasn’t easy from the outset, with recording problems plaguing the group on the tour. “The panoply of technical pitfalls that ensued reached a certain comic level of absurdity,” Beller said on the band’s website. “The crowds were unremittingly awesome, only to be rivaled in ferocity by the gremlins in each location.”
The two-disc CD/DVD set includes tracks from Whittier, California; Manchester, England; Bangkok, Thailand; and Zoetermeer, Holland. The DVD includes additional tracks from Tokyo, Bangkok, and Mexico City. Behind the scenes video and demo recordings are also included.
