Warwick Introduces the LWA 500 Compact Bass Amplifer
Warwick expanded their lightweight bass amp lineup with the LWA 500 at NAMM this year. Rated at up to 500 watts, the compact amp weighs in at only 2.42 pounds.
The LWA 500 combines a preamp based on the Class A/Low Z circuitry found in the WA series with a Class D power amplifier to keep the weight down. It has a 4-band EQ for tonal shaping as well as a built-in compressor, which can be taken in or out of the signal via mini-switch. It also has an effects loop. Warwick fits the LWA 500 with plenty of connectivity, including a tuner output, a line output, a headphone output, and a DI Out complete with pre/post and ground lift switches.
The Warwick LWA 500 Bass Amp is expected to ship mid-2015 with a street price around $499.99.
