D’Angelico Guitars Introduces EX-SD Bass
After introducing the EX-Bass two years ago, D’Angelico announced the solidbody EX-SD Bass at this year’s NAMM Show. The four-string bass features a chambered mahogany body topped with flame maple and a mahogany neck. Its rosewood fingerboard holds 21 frets and is adorned with mother of pearl block inlays as position markers.
The EX-SD is loaded with a pair of Kent Armstrong pickups with a 3-way selector switch as well as volume and tone knobs. Hardware includes a gold tune-o-matic bridge and deluxe sealed tuners. It comes in Natural, Cherry Sunburst, Blueburst, Black, and Grey Black finishes.

One information is really missing in your gear news in general : where is it crafted ?
Mr. Adam Aronson, Sales Operation for D’Angelico, tells me the EX-SD weighs approximately 7-8 pounds, there are no plans for a fretless version, and the cost is $1640.00.
