Foo Fighters’ Bassist Releases Solo Album Under “Lieutenant” Moniker
The first record by Lieutenant — If I Kill This Thing We’re All Going to Eat for a Week — marks the solo debut of Foo Fighters’ bassist Nate Mendel.
Lieutenant is really a side project for Mendel, also known for his past tenure in Sunny Day Real Estate.
The album has a decidedly pop/college rock sound, as you can hear on the opening track, “Belle Epoque”:
