ESP Guitars Announces Two New Bunny Brunel Signature Basses
After launching the Bunny Brunel Signature Series at the Winter NAMM show, ESP Guitars took to the Summer NAMM show to expand the lineup with a pair of new models: the LTD BB-1005/QM/Black Aqua and the LTD BB-1005 QM/Burnt Orange. Both models are 5-string fretted basses, which fills a gap in the initial Brunel signature offering of a fretless fiver and a fretted four-string.
Each of the new models features neck-through construction, a quilted maple top, and an ebony fingerboard with 24 frets. The pickups are a MM/J configuration made by Aguilar, which are matched to the company’s OBP-3 preamp. Hardware includes a Hipshot A-Style bridge and Hipshot tuners with an extender on the lowest string.
The ESP LTD BB-1005/QM/Black Aqua and LTD BB-1005 QM/Burnt Orange basses will be available soon. A price point has not been announced, but is expected to be around $1,399 street.

I STILL think he made a mistake moving from Carvin. Why buy a one size fits all bass when Carvin offers so many options from woods, finishes, some electronics, fretted/fretless? It’s a no brainer. I’ll just get a B or JB Carvin for that price the color I want with the specs I want.
Word. Carvin’s stepped up its game exponentially in recent years too.
Yeah, I’m somewhat surprise he made that transition. Since Carvin offers so many options. I guess he wanted to try somebody new.?
