Stuart Hamm Announces Winter Tour

Stuart Hamm is hitting the road again in support of his latest album, The Book of Lies. The winter tour will include four solo dates before bringing on the bassists’s band consisting of guitarist Alex Skolnick and drummer Joel Taylor.

Hamm’s outing focuses on the West Coast and Midwest. The solo dates start November 27th in Spanish Fork, Utah and run through Colorado and Missouri, while the band dates pick up December 4th in Dayton, Ohio. The trio will snake through Indiana and Illinois before heading back to Washington and Oregon, ending with a trio of California shows.

    Good stuff. When I picked up bass in the early 90’s, Hamm was the first solo player I was aware of. I had a cassette of Kings of Sleep. It was one of the things that made me think of bass as an actual instrument, not second-class guitar.
