Lush Releases Box Set, Reunites for Select 2016 Gigs

Fans of the band Lush have reason to celebrate in 2016.

The band is reuniting for its first live shows since 1996 – two in May in London, one in April in Manchester, and one in September in New York City – and it has released a five-disc retrospective box set.

The set, called Chorus, includes the band’s three studio albums, its two singles compilations, and unreleased demos, radio sessions and rarities, as well as a hardbound book. The work of two bassists can be heard on the set – that of original bassist Steve Rippon and his replacement, Phil King (The Jesus and Mary Chain). King is slated to take part in the reunion gig. Former Elastica drummer Justin Welsh will take the place of the band’s late drummer Chris Acland, who died in 1996.
