ESP Announces LTD Multi-Scale Basses
ESP got into the multi-scale game this year with the LTD B-1004SE and B-1005SE basses. Four and five-stringers, respectively, the new models have different scales for each string to optimize tension and ergonomics. The multi-scale effect is created with Hipshot solo bridges and a fanned fret design.
Both basses are built with a swamp ash body topped with solid rosewood, a five-piece wenge and bubinga neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. Electronics include a pair of Nordstrand Big Split pickups matched to an ESP designed 3-band EQ.
The LTD B-1004SE and B-1005SE Multi-Scale basses will be available soon with street prices of $1,349 and $1,399.

i really dislike how ibanez keeps making interesting basses (grooveline, this) and then stuff it full of super dark sounding woods. They sound so dull, even when on paper the ideas are awesome.
