Cort Launches Jeff Berlin Rithimic V Bass

Jeff Berlin’s signature Rithimic bass now comes in a five-string version. The Cort Rithimic V was displayed at the Winter NAMM show this year with the bassist on hand to talk about it.

“I’m entirely a four-string guy,” Berlin noted, “but I wanted to help make an efficient an instrument as possible for five-string players. My contribution was to ask the Cort guys to make a much easier playing neck and to put in the Bartolini [pickups] for that huge sound.”

The neck, which is made of hard maple, is narrower with a thinner profile shape. Other features include an alder body with a walnut burl top, Hipshot Ultralight tuners, and a Babicz FCH5 bridge.

The Cort Jeff Berlin Series Rithimic V bass will be available later this month with a street price around $1,049.

ok but this bass is nothing compared to my standard passive J/J Fender Jazz Bass V from 2009. I am confused. The Jazz Bass V just blitzes it, sounds a lot more authentic and much more balanced! , proper frets, proper bridge, proper passive tone circuit, proper neck and handling/balance.
