Victor Wooten’s VixCamps Open For Registration

VixCamps Bass TreeRegistration is now open for Victor Wooten’s 2016 Music and Nature Camps. This season includes five main programs at Wooten Woods outside of Nashville, Tennessee plus three additional programs that branch out the educational offerings.

VixCamps kicks off with the original Bass/Nature Camp from July 18th to the 24th. “Following the outline set in motion in the camp’s inaugural year of 2000, Bass/Nature will host a diverse range of students who will enjoy a one-of-a-kind 7-day course offering unprecedented education from some of the world’s most qualified and innovative music and nature instructors,” Wooten shares.

The other camps include a Rhythm Section Retreat (July 25-31), Music/Nature (August 1-7), Reunion (August 22-25), and Jam (August 26-28). Core faculty for 2016 will be bassists Wooten, Steve Bailey, Anthony Wellington, Dave Welsch and Chuck Rainey as well as Regi Wooten, Bob Franceschini, Bob Hemenger, Richard Cleveland, Shannon Pable, Danny Gottlieb, Beth Gottlieb, and more.

Additional programs include a Victor Wooten/Berklee Summer Bass Workshop held over two days in Boston, a Wilderness Survival camp in Asheville, North Carolina, and the Inside Outside Sax Retreat at Wooten Woods.
