Sire Guitars Launches Marcus Miller M7 Series

Sire Guitars has teamed up with Marcus Miller once again to introduce the Sire Marcus Miller M7 Series. The dual humbucker design, which has been in the works for some time, is now open for pre-order and will be shipping on April 30th.

Sire Marcus Miller M7 Series Natural Bass

Available in four and five-string versions, the M7 has a modern body shape made of either alder or ash with a flame maple top. Its hard maple neck features a C-shape profile, while the rosewood fingerboard has a radius of 12” and 24 frets. Its scale length is 34 inches for the four-string model and 35 inches for the five-string.

The M7 is fitted with a pair of Marcus Miller pure humbuckers matched to a Marcus Miller Heritage-3 with a mid-frequency control. Controls include a Volume/Tone dual pot, a pickup blender, Treble, a Middle/Middle Frequency dual pot, Bass, and an active/passive Mini Toggle. Each pickup also has a three way switch to toggle between series mode, parallel mode, and single coil mode. Its bridge offers a string-thru body option with all the hardware finished in black.

Sire will offer the M7 in Transparent Black and Natural colors for the ash-bodied models, while the alder models will come in Brown and Transparent Blue. Prices for the series range between $599 and $799.

Sire is doing it big! Saving for the V7 5 string but definitely getting one of these in 5 string. Loving my 4 string V7, it’s just amazing. Would love to eventually see this on a 6 string…
