Tom Hamilton Joins Thin Lizzy
As a part of Aerosmith, Tom Hamilton has held an important bass seat in the world of rock for decades. Now he’ll assuming another as the bassist for Thin Lizzy during their 2016 and 2017 reunion shows.
“I’m really psyched to be playing these shows with Thin Lizzy during my downtime with Aerosmith this summer,” Hamilton stated. “It’ll be great to rock out to their classic songs onstage.”
Hamilton will be stepping in for Marco Mendoza, who has commitments with the Dead Daisies. The legendary band from Dublin, which was originally fronted by bassist/vocalist Phil Lynott, also announced Judas Priest’s Scott Travis as their drummer. The rest of the lineup includes Thin Lizzy alumni Scott Gorham, Damon Johnson, and Darren Wharton as well as lead vocalist Ricky Warwick.
Current tour dates will take the group through Germany, Spain, the UK, Sweden, and the U.S.
